Bed Rest

When I was about 15 weeks pregnant the doctor started to find some things that she wanted to monitor. I wasn't concerned and knew God was in control. After a couple more weeks she said my platelet level was dropping, and then I started to have contractions. I went to the hospital several times so they could monitor the baby and I. Each time they would say things looked good with the baby so I would go home. Things are continuing to stay the same and I'm still on bed rest. The doctor said out of all the patients she sees about half of them have contractions their whole pregnancy with out going into pre-term labor. The other half end up going into pre-term labor so that is why the doctor wants me to stay on bed rest.
I'm so thankful to be in Sugar Land where we have so many wonderful doctors close by. I know God is in control and watching over both my sweet baby boy and me. knowing this helps me to not be stressed and trust that God's timing is perfect, and he will keep that sweet baby until it's time. When I do start to let me mind wander I have to stop and hold each thought captive. I know God does not want me to worry, but instead give it to Him. I can not change a thing by worrying so why worry!
When I first started bed rest I was very restless, and didn't know how I could do this. After a while I started to find things to keep me busy and occupied so I wouldn't think about my situation as much. The main thing I was concerned about was taking care of my family. God answered that prayer and my husband has stepped in with out complaining to the role of mom as well. My parents, brother, friends, and people from my church have been a huge help as well. God has really strengthened my faith through this time. I know God can use a difficult situation to turn it into a wonderful learning experience, and He has already done that! I know God will continue to be with my sweet baby boy and I look forward to holding him in God's perfect timing! For now, I will continue resting and trusting in the Creator of all things!

So Much To Be Thankful For

I'm Thankful For.....

1) A God that loves me unconditionally, and sent His Son to die for me.

2) My wonderful husband that is having to be both mom and dad lately.

3) My sweet Weston! He is such a joy and a blessing!

4) Baby boy #2! I'm so thankful he is growing healthy and strong, and God is taking such good care of him! I can't wait to meet that precious baby!

5) My wonderful mom who has such a servant's heart and is such a great mom, mother-in-law, and grandma. She is always there for us, but she has gone above and beyond while I'm on bed rest! I don't know what I would do with out her!

6) My amazing dad who is such a great dad, father-in-law, and grandpa. He has helped us so much during this time as well! I'm so fortunate to have him in my life!

7) My wonderful brother who has really stepped up and helped with his nephew! Weston loves Uncle Corbin so much!

8) My in-laws are a blessing and wonderful grandparents! We can't wait to see them when they come into town!

9) Both my extended family and Alex's extended family! They are such a blessing to us and we love spending time with them! Weston loves playing with his cousins and those are memories he will always have.

10) My precious, thoughtful, and loyal friends who are always there for me. They have really stepped up and offered to help me in so many ways. Every one of them hold a special place in my heart.

11) River Pointe, our church home. It's a blessing to have a church you can call home, and help you to grow closer in your walk with God. they have really ministered to us recently by bringing meals to us every week, and praying for the baby and me.

12) Logos and FBCA. Both schools are a special part of my life and they have been so faithful to pray for us during this time.

13) Weston's Mother's Day Out and his precious teachers. It's such a blessing that he has Godly teachers and they are helping us mold him to be the Godly boy God wants him to be.

14) My house and all the wonderful memories we have made in this home.

15) My dog named Truffles and cat named Bayli. They were our first babies and are a special part of our family.

Perfect Park Weather

We had a great day at the park! It was beautiful weather and we were so happy Alex was able to be with us since he was off work. We tried out a new park and he really loved it!

I was just looking through my pics when I found these pictures from Alex's family reunion. We had a great time at the Hyatt Lost Pines in Bastrop. This was the first year Weston was old enough to really play with his cousins. He had so much fun with them! We had a great time, and love spending time with Alex's family.

Our Valentine's Day Weekend

This weekend was wonderful. We had a great weekend with our family at the park, enjoying the beautiful weather, and then Alex and I went to church, dinner and a movie with friends. Weston had a great night with his Cookie and Pops! Thank you Cookie and Pops for letting us have a great night out! On Valentine's Day we are going to the park for a picnic lunch with our little family, and then I'm fixing a special dinner for my Valentine. I'm so looking forward to spending the day with my two favorite boys! They are such a blessing and bring me so much joy! I have such a wonderful hubby and don't know what I would do without him. He is a wonderful and Godly husband and father. He is so sweet and patient with Weston and I. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the ones you love! I am thankful to have my wonderful friends and family in my life! God has blessed me greatly with all of you so happy happy Valentine's Day!!!

Weston's Two

I know it's been a long time since my last blog post, but I'm going to be better about blogging and letting everyone know what's going on in our little world. As you all probably know, Weston turned two Dec. 15th! He had a great birthday! We had his party at Chick-fil-a because he loves to play there. Two is such a fun age even though he keeps me on my toes! He is saying so much now, and always makes me laugh. Weston goes to Mother's Day Out and loves it. He always talks about all his friends at school and is always singing the songs they sing at school. Since Weston is in school it's difficult to always do this, but we try to plan a play date once a week. Weston loves playing with his friends! He also loves to sing and dance, play at the park, and watch movies. His favorite movie right now is Cars! He watches it over and over again. I'm not sure who enjoys watching it more, Weston or his Pops. Weston is such a joy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and warm during this cold weather! I will post more again soon!

Weston is almost 15 months! It seems like yesterday when he was a tiny baby. I am loving this new stage because I can see his precious little personality. He is getting to be a wild child though. He keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't trade this for anything. Below are a few pictures of Weston.

House For Sale

Hi Friends,

It's been a while since I blogged. This has been a very busy time for us. We just put our house on the market and have decided to see what God's will is for us. We have been very happy in our home and have shared many wonderful memories such as our first home, bringing Weston home from the hospital, Weston's baby dedication celebration, his 1st bday party, sharing special times with friends and family and much more! God has truly blessed us in so many ways, and we are trying to patiently wait on Him to guide us in this process. I look forward to see where this adventure takes us!

Meet Remy!

The other night Alex walked into the house and said, "Truffles I brought you a friend." I was just sure he didn't mean another dog. I walked into the room and saw he was holding a little pomeranian mix. Alex found her on our driveway. We went door to door looking for her owners. A few days later her owners called us, but after talking to them we realized they were unable to take care of her. After praying about it we decided to keep her. She is very sweet and easy. She lays in her bed most of the day. I have included a few pictures of our newest member of the family.

Weston turned one on Dec. 15th! I can't believe my baby is one! I have loved every stage and I never thought I would be sad when he turned one, but I must admit I was a little sad. I do love this stage, but something about turning one made me realize he really is growing up and no longer a baby. Okay, enough sappy talk. :) Weston had a wonderful birthday. On his actual birthday we went to Sugar Land Shake with my parents. Then he had his birthday party on Saturday. Below are some pics of his birthday celebrations.

I'm Thankful For...

Hi Friends,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas season. This past Friday it snowed in Sugar Land and that was so exciting! Weston was all bundled up and we went out in the snow. I will always remember this. It was a wonderful, early Christmas present! This time of year can be very busy and it's easy to lose sight of what's most important. Weston's birthday is Dec. 15th and I want Christmas and his birthday to be a special time that we will always remember. I don't want to be stressed and miss out on all the exciting moments and special memories. I'm so thankful for my wonderful husband. He is so sweet and selfless. He is such a good daddy and I'm very fortunate to have him in my life. I'm very fortunate to have a precious baby boy! I've been getting sad that he's turning one, but this is a fun time and I'm going to enjoy each moment. I'm thankful for a wonderful family, friends, and a God that loves me and sent his one and only son to die for our sins.

Our Little Pumpkin!

This was Weston's 1st Halloween and I'm not quite sure if he knew what was going on or not. I think it's a little more for the parents than it is for them. :) He didn't seem to mind the outfit too much, but it was rather difficult for him to crawl in his pumpkin outfit. I loved his outfit and we had fun taking him to Town Square in his little cotume. We also went to Taisho that evening to celebrate my Mom's birthday. Yes, Weston was in his pumpkin costume at Taisho and it didn't seem to mind it too much. Below are a few pictures of our little pumpkin.

Hi Friends,

I hope you are all doing well. We are doing well and staying very busy.

I have been subbing at the Middle School for several weeks and now I am officially done. I have always worked with little ones so teaching Middle School was quite a change, but it was a great experience and I enjoyed it. I am however glad to be able to get some things done around the house now.

I have also been very busy starting a little business with my friend Carissa. It is called Sugar & Spice and we are very excited about it. We have our first Craft Showing on Novemeber 7th so I have been working to get things ready for that. I am making decorative travel wipe cases and Carissa is making baby and toddler tutus and decorative onesies. We are going to specialize in these things and eventually grow and make other chic and sassy baby accessories. If you ever need a baby gift for a friend or a baby item for your baby please let me know. We are happy to do custom orders. :) I have attached a few pictures of some of my wipe cases.

Weston's 9 Months!

Wow, I can't believe how quickly they grow up! It seems like just yesterday that Weston was born. Now he is 24 lbs. and getting so tall. He is sitting up very well, rolling around everywhere, cooing, giggling, smiling, and rocking back in the crawling position. He loves playing with his friends and is just such a happy baby. We are so blessed to have Weston in our lives. Below are some pictures of Weston at my friend Carissa's house and with his friend Eden, who he just adores!

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you are having a great weekend! It's been quite a while since I updated my blog. Things have been very busy, but I can't complain.

I have been very blessed to have the opportunity to sub at FBBA alot lately. Also, Alex's parents have been in town and we have enjoyed getting to spend lots of time with them. Weston's YaYa and Cookie ,Alex's mom and my mom, have helped us out alot while I have been subbing. I'm so glad Weston has had wonderful bonding time with his Yaya and Papa G.

Weston is so excited about his two new friends! Our dear friends Liz and Josh just had a precious baby boy named Cade Maddox Meeh. I will be visiting them soon and post a picture of him. Our very good friends Nicole and Gavin just had a precious baby boy named Dalton Cohen Papit. They live in California, but we will post a picture of him soon. We continue to pray for these two sweet families and their beautiful baby boys.
